Making Music CDs with MP3 Format

This format lets you record your MP3 files on a CD that you can play with an MP3 CD player or on your computer.

1 Click Other in the Toast window and hold down the mouse button.
2 Choose MP3 Disc from the pop-up menu that appears.
3 Drag your MP3 files to the MP3 Disc window.

    Some important details to consider:

    • Toast lists titles (of files and folders) in alphabetical order by default. To impose a different order, assign numbers that precede the song names; for example, 01. Lullaby, 02. Aria. Toast lists the songs in order by number. If you have more than 9 songs, be sure to use two digits.
    • If you put files into folders, the MP3 player sees each folder as an album. This way you can group songs the way you want.

Write Disc closes the CD so that no data can be added at a later date. If you record a multisession MP3 disc, your MP3 CD player may not be able to play anything but the first session. Recording commences. When all the data is written, Toast automatically verifies the data.

4 Before recording, give Untitled CD a more descriptive name. Once the CD has been recorded, you cannot change the name.
5 Insert an blank CD into the CD-Recorder. To determine whether the inserted CD is blank, choose Disc Info from the Recorder menu.
    6 Click the Record button.
7 In the Record dialog box, click Write Disc.
8 When you see the message, "Verification completed successfully," click Eject.
