Enhanced Music CD Format
The Enhanced CD format (also known as CD Extra and formerly known as CD Plus) combines audio tracks and graphic files on a CD that can be played using special applications that let you view the graphics while hearing the sound.
When to Choose Enhanced Music CD Format
| |
To record the data session of a Blue Book-compatible CD. |
When to Choose a Different Format
| |
To avoid the complexity of creating a Blue Book-compliant Enhanced CD, use Audio and Mac Volume formats and record in two sessions. |
| |
If you want more control over layout and what is shared among different platforms (for example, Macintosh and Windows), use Audio and Custom Hybrid formats. |

A previously created CD EXTRA directory hierarchy |

A QuickTime Audio Containable (QuAC) file |
