My iPod won't turn on or respond

iPod may be set to Hold, which disables its buttons so they can't be pressed accidentally.

To disable holding, set the Hold switch to the off position.

If that doesn't work, iPod's battery may need to be recharged. Connect iPod to the power adapter, then plug the power adapter into a working electrical outlet.

If nothing happens when you connect iPod, reset iPod by pressing and holding the Play and Menu buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds. Keep iPod connected while you reset it.
