About playlists

Using iTunes, you can organize the songs in iPod's music library into lists, called playlists, in the order you want. For example, you can create a playlist with songs to listen to while exercising, or with songs you like to play while you're reading.

You can create as many playlists as you like using any of the songs in your library. Putting a song in a playlist does not remove it from the library.

You can browse for and play songs on iPod by playlist, as well as by artist or by song title. When a song in a playlist is finished playing, the next song in the list starts playing.
