Creating or modifying a playlist on iPod

If automatic updating is disabled, you can use iTunes to modify existing playlists or create new playlists on iPod.

Connect iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Select iPod in the iTunes source list. To create a new playlist, click the New Playlist button (+) in iTunes. Type a name for your playlist, then drag songs into the playlist. To modify an existing playlist, select the playlist and drag new songs to the playlist, rearrange songs, or delete songs.

You can also transfer playlists from iTunes to iPod.
