Editing song information on iPod

You can browse for songs on iPod by song title, artist, or album. Some songs may have incorrect or missing information. Using iTunes, you can change or add the title, album, or artist of a song to make browsing easier.

You can either edit songs in the iTunes library and then transfer the information to iPod, or edit the songs directly on iPod.

To edit songs in iTunes, select a song and choose Get Info from the File menu. Then make your changes. When you update iPod, the new information transfers to iPod. To edit songs directly on iPod, connect iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Select iPod in the iTunes source list. Select a song and choose Get Info from the File menu. Then make your changes.

Automatic updating must be disabled to edit song information directly on iPod.
