Making iTunes your default Internet music program

iTunes can play many types of audio files available on the Internet. You can set iTunes to automatically open and play the files it supports whenever you click a link or download a file.

In iTunes, choose Preferences from the Edit menu. In the General tab, click the Set button next to "Use iTunes for Internet Music Playback."

This modifies the File Mapping settings in the Advanced tab of the Internet control panel. For more information about your computer's Internet settings, see Mac Help.
