IRC Buddy is pretty easy to use. This little help file will help you get started,
and provide you with some tips.

a.) History!
IRC Buddy has been through a number of stages..
v 1.0 This was the initial version released to beta testers for testing purposes
v 1.1 This was the first completly working version that functioned as specified
v 1.2 This incorporated the ability to add a picture of the current person.
v 1.3 This version shows you when an entry has to be updated by enabling or disabling
the Update Entry button. The screen layout was changed, making it more compact.

I.) Installation.

Refer to install.txt for instructions. E-mail ircsupport@teletrak.com.au for any
additional information.

II.) Running.

Once you have the program on your hard disk you are ready to run IRC buddy. The
database included contains one record, Flibble, so you can get the hang of
how the program works.

III.) Viewing, Editing, Adding and Deleting...

The program screen shows information on the current record. There are two tabs
at the top of the screen which allow you to View or Edit and Add to the Database.

View.
To view a record simply select the view tab at the top of the IRC Buddy screen
if you have not allready done so, then either press Next Record or Previous to
manually navigate through the database, or, type in the name of a person in the
Nick box. As you type the closest match for each character of the name you type in
will be displayed in the view window. The Time and Dates update in real time, as
you will see when you modify the time displacement..

Edit.
To edit a record switch to the Edit/Add screen by pressing the tab marked 'Edit/Add'
located at the top of the screen. Update any of the information then press
'Update Entery' to write any changes you have made to the database.

Add.
To add a record switch to the Edit/Add screen by pressing the tab marked 'Edit/Add'
located at the top of the screen. Press the Button 'Add Entry' to make a new entry.
Fill in the spaces appropriatley then press the 'Update Entry' button to write the
changes to the database.
  A quick example.
I am in Australia, just say I meet someone from New Zealand and want to add them to
IRC Buddy, I would ask them the time there. They are 2 hours ahead of us, so I would
click on the little spin dial arrow 'up' twice and the number 2 appears. This means that
they are 2 hours ahead. If I meet someone from the US, and they are -16 hours from ME, I
would click the 'down' arrow 16 times, and it will read -16. Once you have done this,
and entered in any additional information, you MUST press the update button to save the
  data.

Delete.
To delete the current record, select the Edit/Add screen by pressing the tab marked 'Edit/Add'
located at the top of the screen. Press the 'Delete Entry' button. A box will appear
asking for confimation. If you select yes, the current record will be deleted from
IRC Buddy.

IV.) Working with pictures

In v1.2 you can now add a picture to the curret person so you will allways know what
they look like :-) To do this, go the the Edit/Add screen and click the ADD button
in the picture section. The file, at the moment, has to be a BMP..I know it's a tedious
process to convert all the images, but it works good once you have done it. Once you have
the picture of the person in, you can double click on it in the View screen and you will
be presented with a blown up full size version of the picture. Much thanks to Dion for this
idea, and his help with it's implementaion!

V.) Future Releases

The time taken vaires substantially between releases of IRC Buddy, the time taken to
update v1.1 to 1.2 was 1 day.. For the future though, I plan to implement these changes:
1.) the ability to use many image formats including JPG's GIF's etc so you arn't restricted
     to just BMP's.
2.) I'll add a little label to show you how many records there are, and which one you are
     on, etc.
3.) I'll probably do more gruvy things with the 'IRC Buddy' at the bottom of the screen... :D

Thats basically it!
