Fees for Distribution of Shareware Versions

Disk Vendors, Shareware Distributors and BBS(s) may have charged a nominal fee for the distribution of this Shareware version of FTP Client. This fee does not constitute payment for the Licensed version of FTP Client, and does not entitle the end user to use the shareware version for longer than the 30 day evaluation period.

Definition of Shareware
Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you are required to register it (or purchase the licensed version as in the case of Mundial Avenue FTP Client).

Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and retail software, and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like retail authors, and the programs are of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a specific group. For example, some authors require written permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their Shareware.

Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's retail or Shareware. The Shareware system makes fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy. And because the overhead is lower, prices are lower also. BY USING THE SHAREWARE VERSION OF MUNDIAL AVENUE CLIENT FTP YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, UNDERSTAND IT, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS' TERMS AND CONDITIONS. YOU ALSO AGREE THAT THE LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE COMPLETE AND EXCLUSIVE STATEMENT OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES AND SUPERSEDE ALL PROPOSALS OR PRIOR AGREEMENTS, ORAL OR WRITTEN, AND ANY OTHER COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN THE PARTIES RELATING TO THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY.

Use of this software is permitted only to the extent reasonably required to determine whether to purchase the software.

After payment is made, use of this software is limited to use on only a single personal computer or workstation which is not used as a server. An additional payment is required for each use on another personal computer or workstation.

Only a single copy may be made of this software solely for backup or archival purposes. The software may also be transferred to a single hard disk.

Any use of this software in violation of the above is not licensed.

Installing Mundial Avenue FTP Client
Before you can use FTP Client you have to install the FTP Client programs & associated files so it will work properly on your computer.You have just to copy the files from the FTP Client disk to your hard disk. The files on the distribution disk are compressed to save space. The setup program unpacks those files and builds them on your working disk.

	1/If Windows 95 / Windows NT 4.0 isn't running, start it now.
	2/If installing from diskette, insert the Mundial Avenue FTP disk 1 into the appropriate
	floppy drive.
	3/Click on the Start button on the Taskbar. Windows will open the Start menu.
	4/Click on the Start menu's “Run” selection. Windows will open the “Run”
	dialog box.
	5/If installing from a floppy drive type the drive letter of the floppy drive containing
	FTP Client files followed by “:\FTPSETUP.EXE”, or if you have downloaded
	Mundial Avenue FTP Client, type the path to the zipped files followed by “\
	FTPSETUP.EXE”.
	6/Click on the “OK” button. Windows will run the Mundial Avenue FTP Client
	setup program.
	7/Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
	8/You can install an icon and/or a link to start the program. To do this for WIN95,
	you click the button start on the tack bar. Then, you select “ parameters ”
	en then “ task bar ”. Then, selecting “ Start menu programs ”,
	“ advanced ”, you can select else “ start menu ” else an other
	menu. To install it as an icon on the desk, you open the disk explorer. Selecting
	the directory where you installed the FTP, you select the file MAV_FTP.EXE and drag
	it to the desk. This shall be entitled “ shortcut to .... ”. Selecting
	it by clicking only once and then right clicking, a window open where, selecting
	“ properties ”, you can change the name and the icon if necessary.

The User's Manual
In order to keep the size of the Shareware version of FTP Client reasonable, no printable user's manual has been provided. You will find that help for ALL menu items and associated dialog boxes, along with general information, is provided in the on-line help system.

When you purchase the licensed version of FTP Client you will receive the fully illustrated, perfect bound User's Guide.

Distributing
You are encouraged to pass a copy of the shareware version of FTP Client along to your friends for evaluation.
If you do so, you must provide them with the entire set of FTP Client shareware version files.

These include:

		README.DOC
		VENDOR.DOC

Do not simply copy the files off your hard drive. FTP Client must be installed using the SETUP program or it will not function correctly! If you intend to charge for distribution, you must adhere to the requirements of the VENDOR.DOC file.

Purchasing the Licensed Version
You may use the shareware version of FTP Client for a 30 day trial period. If you would like to continue to use FTP Client after the 30 day trial period, you are required to purchase the licensed version of FTP Client.

When you purchase FTP Client you will receive the latest licensed version and the printed user's guide. The FTP Client CD-ROM also includes over 150 true-color royalty-free images and tutorials to get you going quickly.
FTP Client may be purchased from a number of sources.

	Start FTP Client.
	At the shareware startup screen press the “Order FTP Client ” button.
	Once the distributor page is shown click the left mouse button on the vendor
