Adobe PDF IFilter 4.1 Adobe PDF IFilter lets you index PDF (Portable Document Format) files with Microsoft indexing clients, so that visitors to your Web site can easily search for text within PDF files on the site. This version of Adobe PDF IFilter adds support for Acrobat 4.0 PDF files and double-byte text. An IFilter is a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file that is called by a client to extract text for a given file format. Adobe PDF IFilter consists of code that recognizes PDF along with code that provides the appropriate client interface. Adobe PDF IFilter is called when a client looks in the Windows NT Registry for a DLL file that recognizes files with the .pdf extension. Adobe PDF IFilter returns text to the client, which then adds the text to the catalog or index being built. IFilter is a Microsoft specification for filtering text. The specification is available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/psdk/indexsrv/ixrefint_9sfm.htm System requirements Installation instructions After downloading a ".exe" file in Windows, double-click on the ".exe" file to access the file's contents.
